From time to time we like to post items taken from the World of Wine.   This week it’s a very brief look at New Zealand’s 2013 vintage.
The North Island (Gisborne,Hawkes Bay,Martinborough etc) had frost problems in spring which reduced yields in some areas, however the rest of the summer was good enough to produce some really great wines see Craggy Range.
The South Island (Marlborough etc) again, like in the Northern Hemisphere had a cold Spring but that gave way to a good Summer that produced some very good quality wines with moderate yields (Pinot Noir especially with Sauvignon Blanc looking promising).
Our latest DecanterThe Cetra – certainly would compliment the serving of any New Zealand Pinot Noir!
